Fun Cotton Candy Facts:
Accounts of who invented cotton candy vary. Some say two Tennessee candy makers
created the confection in 1897. Others say that cotton candy debuted at the
Ringling Bros. Circus in 1900. Either way, the spun sugar confection that melts
in your mouth is still a fun food favorite.
- People used to call cotton candy "fairy floss."
- Boxes of cotton candy at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair cost 25 cents - a
lot of money for the time!
